What Does a Trip to Lindos from Rhodes Cost? Bus Tours, Transfers and the Acropolis Ticket Compared
6 min read
The answer first: Lindos from Rhodes costs from €25 per person, and the whole range of the five most-booked options spans less than €7. The cheapest is the Lindos bus tour with free time to explore, 7 hours with hotel pickup. The price differences are small; what changes between them is free time, the arrival hour and whether the Acropolis is part of it.
| Lindos option | Duration | From | Rating | What the price buys |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lindos bus tour with free time | 7 hours | €25 | 4.6 (2,953) | hotel pickup, bus tracking, audio guide |
| Lindos and Seven Springs bus tour | 7 hours | €15 | 4.3 (4,073) | the village plus a swim at the springs |
| Round-trip bus transfer with free time | 7.5 hours | €20.25 | 4.6 (2,324) | 5 hours of free time |
| Easy morning transfer, 4 hours free | 6.5–12 hours | €27 | 4.8 (1,696) | arrival around 10:45 am, a viewpoint stop on the way back |
| Acropolis entry ticket with optional audio guide | no duration listed | €22.62 | 4.4 (1,637) | the ticket only, no transport |
The €16.31 baseline
The plain bus tour is the cheapest way to Lindos with someone else doing the driving. Its description lists hotel pickup, live tracking of the bus, an audio guide and WhatsApp support, and it states free time without a number of hours. That missing figure is the catch: the two transfers below state their hours, this tour does not, so the lowest fare is also the one where you must read the booking page to learn how long you actually get in the village.

What the extra €3.94 buys
Go from €16.31 to €20.25 and the description starts to put hours on the table. The round-trip transfer lists 5 hours of free time for beaches, the village and the view from the Acropolis, which works out at about €4.05 for each hour. The morning transfer gives 4 hours at about €5.06 an hour, but it is the better-rated of the two at 4.8 stars, arrives around 10:45 am and adds a panoramic stop on the way back. Its listed duration of 6.5 to 12 hours is a wide band; it is worth finding out which end your date sits at.
The €17.60 Seven Springs tour sits in between on price and is the only one that adds a swim. It also carries the lowest rating of the five, 4.3 stars from 4,073 reviews, so the saving against the €20.25 transfers comes with a weaker score.
The ticket is a separate line
The Acropolis ticket costs €22.62, more than any of the bus tours. That price is for entry and an optional audio guide, with no transport. The tour descriptions here do not say whether the entrance fee is included, so before you add €22.62 to a €16.31 fare, read the inclusions on the booking page. If you do end up paying for both, the day comes to about €38.93, well above either €20.25 transfer.

Is the cheapest the best value?
Not always. Per hour in the village, the €20.25 transfer with 5 hours free is the best price among the options that give a number, even though its fare is €3.94 higher. The €16.31 tour wins on the fare alone and on the pickup. If you will not climb the Acropolis, the cheaper tour loses nothing; if you will, price the ticket in before choosing.
Which way is best for the heat, the crowds and the climb is a separate question, and we answer it in the Lindos Acropolis guide. For a comparison of bus, transfer and boat on the day itself, see Lindos from Rhodes.
Recommendation
For most people, book the Lindos bus tour with free time at €25, and move up to the round-trip transfer with 5 hours free at €20.25 if you want a guaranteed long stay. The full range, from €14, is on the Lindos excursions page.
